Job Details

• Role: We are recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Level 1
• Start: Required for an Immediate start
• Salary Range: Emmaus Grade 2 (SCP 3) £24,796 FTE (term time only pro-rata)
• Hours: 9.75 hours per week. 8.45am-12noon, 3 days per week, term time only
• Contract: Fixed Term Contract dependent on funding

Role Description

Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, positive person to take on the position of 1:1 Teaching Assistant, to join our well-established team. We offer an outstanding learning environment and are part of a larger community of schools within the Emmaus Catholic Multi Academy Company.

We are seeking enthusiastic and creative applicants to help a child 1:1 with learning and developing communication and social skills, as well as supporting them in their learning journey. You should have a working knowledge of strategies to support children with a range of additional needs.

We require someone who is committed to inclusion and who wants to make a positive difference. They will need to be confident in scaffolding a child's learning and be prepared to encourage independence as the child develops. The school takes safeguarding seriously: references will be checked before interview, identity and qualification checks undertaken, and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check is required before starting employment.
