A community support organization in Scotland seeks two personal assistants to provide essential daily living support to a young girl with complex disabilities. Candidates should have experience working with disabled children and driving ability, as well as membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. The role includes supporting outings and communication. Compensation is £14.24 per hour plus rolled up holiday pay.
Very happy disabled girl looking for two personal assistants (PA) to access the community. The girl has multiple complex disabilities, is non-verbal, has epilepsy and uses a wheelchair. The young person needs 2 to 1 support with all aspects of daily life. It is important that the PA take time to get to know the girl and discover how to best communicate effectively with her. She loves going out, milkshakes and nursery rhymes.
Rate of pay is £14.24 per hour plus an additional 12.07% as the employer uses rolled up holiday pay. This equates to around an extra £1.71 per hour.
Hours: six hours per fortnight on a Saturday during the day, with occasional extra six hour shifts on Saturdays during school holidays.
