Summary:

NHS Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cancer Pharmacist to join our team. As a Cancer Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing a clinical pharmacy service to the chemotherapy day units and outpatient prescribing clinics. Your responsibilities will include supporting the medical and nursing teams through the provision of pharmacy advice and ensuring the safe and timely delivery of oncology services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service to the chemotherapy day units and outpatient prescribing clinics.
  • Support the medical and nursing teams through the provision of pharmacy advice.
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of oncology services.
  • Work across the chemotherapy day units, outpatient departments, and clinic areas to clinically check the appropriateness of prescribing.
  • Promote medicines optimization to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Actively participate in Trust initiatives aimed at improving patient experiences of day case chemotherapy.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Relevant experience in oncology pharmacy.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to promoting patient safety and delivering high-quality care.
