Job summary

An employment support organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated Job Coach to help guide long-term unemployed individuals back into sustainable work. This role involves providing tailored support and building relationships with clients and local employers. Imagine being the reason someone gets their confidence back. Imagine helping someone land their first job in years. As a Job Coach, you’ll work with people across Ceredigion who’ve been out of work for a while – helping them take real steps toward a brighter future. Fixed Term until 30/06/2027.

Futureworks is looking for a motivated and empathetic Job Coach to join our employability team, based in Aberystwyth & Lampeter you will be supporting people across Ceredigion on their journey back into sustainable employment.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering the DWP Restart Scheme, aimed at helping Universal Credit claimants who have been unemployed for 6 months or more find meaningful work.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with individuals who are long-term unemployed, guiding them through their employment journey
  • Provide one-to-one support to overcome personal and practical barriers to employment
  • Offer tailored coaching, job search support, confidence building, and re-training guidance
  • Collaborate with local employers, training providers, and other stakeholders to create employment opportunities
  • Build strong, positive relationships and act as a trusted, motivational adviser
  • Track progress, meet performance targets, and celebrate client successes along the way
Qualifications
  • Bilingual fluency in Welsh and English is desirable – you’ll be engaging with individuals and businesses across Ceredigion
  • A strong background in employability, advice and guidance, recruitment, or customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – you're a natural relationship-builder, motivator, and problem solver
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and hit targets
  • A good understanding of the local employment and recruitment landscape, including self-employment options

Additional Information
  • You’ll need access to your own transport, as the role involves travel throughout Ceredigion and occasionally Pembrokeshire
