Pay: £52,557.12 – £59,244.08 per annum. Bank pay: £26.88 per hour. Hours: Flexible shifts, including evenings, overnights and weekends; minimum 12 hours per week. Location: Norfolk and Waveney out-of-hours locations with occasional CAS telephone-based duties.

Job Description

IC24 offers high quality integrated urgent care to millions and seeks an autonomous and dedicated IUC Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our professional team providing outstanding patient care across ages, in an integrated urgent care service environment. This role involves responsible patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of minor illnesses, with independent prescribing to complement treatment plans. You will usually be based at one of our out-of-hours (OOH) locations within Norfolk and Waveney and may support IUC CAS telephone-based services as part of our contract with the lead NHS 111 service provider.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose and treat patients of all ages with minor illnesses in an urgent care setting.
  • Independent prescribing to support treatment plans for a range of conditions.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team including GPs, ACPs, and Prescribing Pharmacists; refer to CAS following 111 pathway assessments as needed.
  • Provide high quality care in the Primary Care/out-of-hours context and support patients who cannot access their own GP Surgery.
  • Participate in induction, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development; engage with the Clinical Lead for support.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Non-medical prescriber qualification (V300 or equivalent).
  • Physical Assessment course level 7 or above.
  • Minor illness qualification and experience in palliative and End of Life care.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends due to OOH service requirements.
  • Autonomous clinician with a track record of delivering high-quality care in Primary Care; able to handle a wide range of minor ailments.
Locations & Hours
  • Locations across Norfolk and Waveney, with dispatch sites in Norwich, North Walsham, Dereham, Thetford, King's Lynn, Fakenham, Great Yarmouth, Beccles, and Lowestoft.
  • Flexible shifts including evenings, overnights, and weekends; minimum 12 hours per week. Bank hours also available.
