A leading sports organization is seeking a full-time IT Support Technician to provide first line support at The City Ground in Nottingham. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in IT support or similar role.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line technical support face to face and remotely.
  • Respond promptly to support requests via Helpdesk, telephone, email.
  • Assist with user onboarding/offboarding within the department.
  • Maintain and update IT inventory system.
  • Support AV and technical requirements for matchdays.

Skills

Basic troubleshooting of hardware (PCs, printers, monitors)
Understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, IOS, Android)
Basic knowledge of networking (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and productivity software
Ability to follow technical instructions
Physical dexterity for setting up IT equipment
Time management and prioritization
Clear communication with non-technical users
Fundamentals of computer hardware (RAM, CPU, hard drives)
Basic concepts of Active Directory & M365
Understanding of basic command-line tools
Familiarity with remote support tools
Basic printer and peripheral device troubleshooting

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Provide 1st line technical support, face to face and remote
  • Respond promptly to support requests via the Helpdesk, telephone, email & online chat
  • Setup and configuration of new hardware and software
  • Perform user onboarding/offboarding process within the department
  • Maintain and update IT inventory system, ensuring all assets are accurately tracked.
  • Support with AV and technical requirements for matchdays, meetings & events
  • Support the IT Manager with specific project work
  • Assist and support on a Matchday
  • Any other duties specified by your line manager.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
  • Basic troubleshooting of hardware (PCs, printers, monitors, etc.)
  • Understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, IOS & Android)
  • Basic knowledge of networking (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and common productivity software
  • Ability to follow written and verbal technical instructions
  • Physical dexterity for setting up and moving IT equipment
  • Time management and prioritization under supervision
  • Clear communication with non-technical users
  • Fundamentals of computer hardware (RAM, CPU, hard drives, etc.)
  • Basic concepts of Active Directory & M365 (user accounts, password resets)
  • Understanding of basic command-line tools (e.g., ipconfig, ping)
  • Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., Splashtop, RDP)
  • Basic printer and peripheral device troubleshooting
