Job summary

A recruitment agency in the UK is looking for an IT Support Technician to provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support primarily for Windows environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop systems, troubleshooting issues, and administering Active Directory and user accounts. IT Support Technician (1st & 2nd Line Support)

Location : Warley (with travel to other sites as required)

Salary : £27,500 per annum

Hours : Monday Friday, 09 : 00 17 : 00

Holiday : 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

Pin Point Recruitment is supporting our client in the search for an experienced IT Support Technician to join their team. This role will provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other endpoint hardware.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, technically capable and able to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently to keep systems running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure and maintain Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop environments
  • Provide 1st & 2nd line IT support via the Service Desk
  • Support users in both physical and VMWare virtual environments
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software for desktop and mobile devices
  • Ensure communication systems deliver seamless service, resolving incidents promptly
  • Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange accounts and access permissions
  • Maintain secure file storage access and data protection
  • Support enterprise messaging (Microsoft Exchange) and unified communications (Mitel)
