IT Support Manager

Location: St Albans (3 days per week onsite)

Employment Type: Permanent Full time (with flexibility on days onsite)

As we continue scaling our technology footprint including a new platform initiative and expanding security infrastructure we are looking for an experienced IT Services Manager to strengthen our systems operations and automation strategy.

The Role

This hands on mid-level position blends IT administration security strategy and process automation. The IT Services Manager will ensure the stability, security and efficiency of all business-critical systems while driving smart scalable automation solutions. You’ll work closely with leadership across departments owning IT service management, security policy execution and ongoing technical support across cloud communication and collaboration tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Slack, Google Workspace and email environments including account provisioning, access control and mailing list management.
  • Assess and streamline current manual processes by applying automation principles leveraging tools like SAML, SSO and 2FA (two factor authentication).
  • Support cloud infrastructure access management where applicable. Opportunity to grow into AWS environment oversight with training and support.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance IT security posture. Implement and monitor security software, access management and data privacy standards.
  • Procure, configure and maintain company devices. Manage software installs, updates and licensing.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for IT support issues. Provide responsive and effective tech assistance including occasional out of hours coverage for urgent matters.
  • Manage integrations across internal systems and communication platforms to optimise efficiency and team collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to service management best practices focusing on service quality, business continuity and end user experience.
About You
  • Proven experience as an IT Administrator, Senior IT Support or IT Services Manager in a dynamic fast-moving environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace and Slack administration.
  • AWS knowledge welcomed but not essential – we provide training and support for cloud platform growth.
  • Willingness to learn cloud technologies and grow technical skills.
  • Familiarity with automation tools single sign on (SSO), SAML and multi factor authentication.
  • Experience with IT security frameworks, access governance and endpoint protection.
  • Hands on approach with the ability to balance operational delivery and strategic oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive ownership driven mindset.
