Job Description

The IT Support Manager for Universal Creative is responsible for managing the day‑to‑day activities related to the support of Universal Creative (UC). Support of the various teams includes but is not limited to laptop and desktop functionality, determining hardware and software specifications and procurement, wired and wireless network issues, server and data allocation, mobile device configuration and troubleshooting of any issues related to computing technology. The UC Technology Manager is also responsible for the discovery and implementation of any new technologies used by UC.

The UC Technology Manager should ensure that the general IT support is aligned with UPR Technology and UC IT uses standardized processes and directions for procuring, managing and deploying IT software and hardware to users. In addition, the UC Technology Manager will ensure that software and hardware required for proper usability and support is developed, tested and in place expeditiously to support the UC Team’s needs.

  • Manages the day‑to‑day activities of everything related to technology for UC. This includes hardware and software deployment and troubleshooting, procurement, network and server issues and mobile device configuration.
  • Works closely with IT partners to manage system access, security, delivery services, infrastructure and governance for IT initiatives and activities. The IT Manager will follow the established IT Project Management Process to deploy projects in meeting business goals.
  • Works closely with the UC team(s) to ensure that the IT systems and processes function on a day‑to‑day basis as intended, both through auditing and tracking of system activities as well as culling feedback from user groups regarding their needs and issues. Works with IT teams and management to identify solutions that enable the organization to achieve its project goals.
  • Responsible for the discovery, purchase, configuration and operation of any new technologies intended to be used by UC.
  • Performs periodic Team reviews with key stakeholders to evaluate any gaps in the systems currently in place and determines requirements needed to fill that gap. Ensures that appropriate UPR business practices and procedures are followed with these deployments. Monitors overall use to ensure corporate compliance (where applicable).
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
