Job summary

A Public Sector Organization is seeking an experienced Senior IT Operations Manager to oversee IT Services and Contracts in a complex technical environment. The role involves managing relationships with suppliers and coordinating IT service delivery to ensure continuous improvement. Candidates should have a relevant degree and at least three years' experience in an enterprise-level service delivery role. Job description

To manage the IT Services and IT Contracts within a large complex technical environment and manage the IT Service and IT Contract management teams. Responsible for service performance, stakeholder relationships and liaising with multiple suppliers to ensure continuous service improvement.Responsible for IT Asset Management, maintaining accurate asset and IT Contract records and ensuring supplier payments comply with contractual terms, supporting financial governance and value for money.

Responsibilities
  • To manage the relationship with the government shared service provider (IT Assist) to ensure the delivery of a high-quality IT Service.
  • To promote the adoption of ITIL principles within and beyond the IT Department and ensure all processes adhere to ITIL industry standards.
  • To engage with a wide range of stakeholders and act as the primary point of contact for IT service operations with a key focus on driving continual improvement.
  • To play a key role in the implementation/delivery of the IT Strategy including communicating how technology supports the Housing Executive’s strategic goals.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification.
  • Can demonstrate a minimum of three years’ experience, within the past five years, in a Senior IT Operations Manager role overseeing enterprise-level service delivery in a large organisation.
