Job summary

A leading international workforce business is looking for an experienced Business Analyst for their B2B EU Portfolio, based in Central London. This is a 12-month PAYE contract role requiring 5-7 years of IT experience. Responsibilities include capturing business needs, process modeling, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong focus on Agile methodologies and technical skills like Azure DevOps and Power BI. The successful candidate will have a proactive mindset, capable of becoming a requirement authority in unique project contexts.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for our clients B2B EU Portfolio based on Central London. 12 month PAYE contract

Business Analysis Planning & monitoring – Mastery, Business Analysis Techniques – Mastery, Requirement Lifecycle management – Knowledge

Role Overview:

IT Projects Business Analyst role involves identifying and documenting clients' and stakeholders' business needs and determining feasible solutions to meet those needs or resolve problems.

This role offers the opportunity to grow into a thought partner and solution visionary, influencing technology demand and direction within the business community. The following are the core responsibilities , skills and experience required to be successful in the role.

Skills & Experience

Total of 5-7 yrs of relevant IT experience in below mentioned areas.

Core Responsibilities

Requirements Management:

  • Capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into actionable functionality.
  • Ensure traceability from business needs through testing and final solution delivery.
  • Maintain and update documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Process & Data Analysis:

  • Assess and model current processes, data flows, and technologies using tools like Visio.
  • Strong understanding of Data tools and technologies and technologies such as Azure, Databricks, Power BI & Power Automate etc.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and value creation.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Support BA Lead in stakeholder management and large design sessions.
  • Collaborate with PMs, business teams, and development teams to understand project nuances and find creative, "out-of-the-box" solutions.

Testing & Validation:

  • Work closely with the test team prior to each release/Sprint rollout.
  • Define acceptance criteria and coordinate testing to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Project Execution:

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control BA activities within cost, time, and quality parameters.
  • Support execution phase deliverables (PDFs) post the decision on solution has been finalized.

Knowledge Leadership:

  • Become a master knowledge source for project requirements.
  • Proactive mindset with someone who is a quick leaner to get up to speed and become a requirement 'authority'.

Mandatory

  • Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks and tools like Azure Devops.
  • Ability to educate stakeholders in Agile ways of working.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Experience in projects related to Data Analytics and knowledge on cyber security is a preferred.
  • Understanding of systems engineering, data/process modelling, and solution design.

Mindset & Adaptability

  • Inquisitive and proactive approach.
  • Quick learner capable of becoming a requirement "authority" in a unique project context (e.g., IT equipment on moving platforms).

Preferred

  • Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum, PSPO, SAFe).
  • CCBA or PMI-PBA certification.
  • Lean Practitioner training and experience.
  • Exposure to IT support model and handover process.
