Overview
Purpose of the role is to…
- Provide factory based operational IT support for F1 trackside events.
- Oversee new technologies that support our mission to win F1 World Championships.
- Deliver new innovations to question conventional thinking and improve capabilities of the IT department.
- Lead by example as a senior technical escalation point for a broad range of IT support topics.
- Manage stakeholders within IT and the business while delivering complex operational requirements and projects.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to a consistent high standard.
Be skilled at

Have Experience Of
- Motorsport event support and telemetry applications (McLaren Applied Technologies).
- Delivering exceptional customer service under pressure.
- Operational support at a senior technical level, within a medium to large sized enterprise.
- Planning, organising, leading and delivering complex, fast-moving workloads with both internal and external 3rd party resources.
- Working to recognised methodologies i.e. (ITIL, Agile).
- A broad range of technical experience within a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Supporting junior colleagues via mentoring, training, and documentation.
- Administering enterprise IT networking solutions.
Demonstrate knowledge of
- Enterprise application, middleware, and infrastructure technologies.
- Database support, administration, and optimisation.
- Scripting, orchestration, and automation techniques.
- Capacity, performance, and availability monitoring.
- Security, vulnerability, and malware threat prevention.
- F1, Motorsport, OEM automotive or engineering background.
- Desirable - Testbed and simulation platforms
Hold These Qualifications
- Degree or relevant qualifications in a technology or science subject
- Hold the following (or relevant equivalent):
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- ITIL v3/v4 foundation level.

Additional Information
