IT Engineer

Cheltenham £30,000 - £32,000

A growing organisation in Cheltenham is seeking an IT Engineer to join their team, providing hands‑on support across hardware, software, systems and networks. This is a varied role supporting employees across multiple sites, with onsite work primarily and occasional travel as required.

The Role

As the IT Engineer, you will:

  • Provide IT support via phone, email and in person for a range of hardware, software and in‑house systems
  • Set up and configure desktop and laptop equipment, ensuring systems are ready for use
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across PCs, laptops, servers, networks, internet connectivity and telephony
  • Support Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server 2019 and 2022, Active Directory, Office 365 and SQL Server
  • Assist with line‑of‑business applications and internal systems
  • Escalate complex issues where appropriate and work collaboratively with the wider IT team
  • Travel to UK sites when required
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years in an IT Support or IT Engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration
  • Experience with Windows Server operating systems
  • Confident supporting PCs, laptops and core Microsoft technologies
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Full UK driving licence
