A leading academic institution in Cardiff seeks an IT Demand and Resource Officer to enhance the delivery of IT services. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to align IT capacity with the university's goals, maximizing the effectiveness of resources for academic and operational excellence. This role offers a full-time contract with a salary range of £41,064 to £46,049 per annum. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.
Cardiff University is embarking on an ambitious journey to transform the way it delivers and leverages digital technologies across the institution. As part of this strategic evolution, we are creating a new function within the University that will help the department understand the demand for digital and IT services and support the allocation of resource to deliver the University’s priorities. We are seeking an IT Demand and Resource Officer to support the shaping of how we plan, prioritise, and deliver IT services that support our academic, research, and operational excellence.

You will support colleagues across the department and beyond to align IT capacity with the University’s strategic goals—ensuring that our digital transformation initiatives, strategic developments, and business-as-usual activities are supported by the right people, with the right skills, at the right time.
In this role, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across academic departments, professional services, and central IT to support management of demand and optimise use of our resources. You will actively support Cardiff University to deliver value through technology—enhancing our students experience, enable cutting-edge research, and operational efficiency.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and open ended.
Salary: £41,064 - £46,049 per annum (Grade 6). Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances.
