Job Description

Main Duty:

The Business Analyst acts as the key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams throughout the lifecycle of IT projects within the Sustainability Team. This role requires strong knowledge of both business processes and relevant applications, ensuring seamless integration between the two. The Business Analyst is responsible for conducting detailed analysis, producing all related documentation, and defining how project scope will be implemented within existing systems, working closely with software development teams.

A deep understanding of project strategy and the current IT ecosystem is essential to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

Business Requirement Management:

  • Serve as the bridge between business and IT: engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional solutions that balance cost, speed, and value.
  • Manage and track requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce clear specifications and maintain comprehensive documentation, including service contracts, domain models, process flows, and wireframes.
  • Collaborate with product teams, software architects, and developers to ensure solutions align with product vision and best practices.
  • Participate in stakeholder calls to support technical discussions.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Define requirements, user stories, and test cases.
  • Assist business stakeholders in assessing the technical feasibility of new features.
  • Work with the global project teams to prioritise requirements.
  • Support master data migration during projects.
  • Deliver user training within the application scope.
  • Provide post-go-live support for newly deployed solutions.
  • Prepare training materials and technical/end-user documentation.
Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • Educational background in information systems or related fields.
  • Proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling (BPMN 2.0), verification, and methodology development.
  • Must have experience with Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience aligning IT solutions with business objectives.
  • Strong project coordination and project management skills.
  • Expertise in specifying requirements for business applications.
  • Experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification industry is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, logical, and efficient.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take initiative.
Additional Information

The role will be based at the Northampton office and will provide support to the Eurofins Sustainability Services team. This team delivers a comprehensive range of products and services designed to help customers develop more sustainable supply chains and products, with a particular focus on the textile and leather industries.

The Sustainability Services team is introducing innovative digital solutions to meet growing business demands and enhance customer satisfaction.
