We\'re one of the UK\'s biggest charities and we care for 2,000 miles of canals, rivers, docks and reservoirs because we believe life is better by water. We\'re looking for people who support our cause and want to make a difference for future generations. Along with our waterways we also manage museums, archives and the country\'s third largest collection of historic buildings, as well as the nature and wildlife that calls our canals home. All of this enables us to provide wellbeing opportunities for millions of people each year.
Contract: 2 year fixed term contract
Roles available: x3 across our Finance, Asset Management and Operations teams.
Our role and opportunity
As we modernise our operations and systems, we\'re embarking on a significant transformation programme to replace our legacy SAP system with best-of-breed ERP solutions. To support this, we are recruiting our first Business Analyst - a vital role that will help bridge the gap between IT and business teams to ensure we successfully capture, design, and deliver future-fit business processes.
The Business Analyst will play a central role in our ERP transformation journey. Reporting into the IT team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to capture existing (\'as-is\') business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and help define the \'to-be\' future state in line with our strategic goals and operational needs.
You will act as the key link between our business teams and technical partners, helping shape the functional specifications that will inform system configuration and implementation. Beyond the ERP programme, you will also help embed a more structured approach to process documentation and improvement across the organisation, building a foundation of operational competence that will benefit the Trust long term.
Location & coverage
You will be offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces as and when required for team working and collaborative meetings.
Relevant hubs include: Leeds & Birmingham.
The regularity & flexibility of travel will be discussed further at interview stage.
