Join a leading organization as an Involvement Support Volunteer, where you'll help individuals affected by dementia engage in meaningful activities. This role offers the chance to connect with others, share experiences, and influence community changes, all within a supportive environment.
About The Role
Are you passionate about enabling people affected by dementia to share their experiences and be heard? If so, then we’d love to hear from you!
Local Involvement activities enable people living with dementia to engage in meaningful activities within a group setting, either online or face-to-face, and to have a voice. They do this by using their experiences to influence the work both of Alzheimer's Society and the health and social care environment on matters to improve the quality of their lives.
You’ll help to set up the room and tidy away at the end of the group as well as prepare and hand out refreshments. You’ll welcome and talk with people living with dementia and assist them where necessary to engage in Involvement activities and, if supporting an online group, to join in the conversation.
