Overview

Arthur are partnered with a leading Global (Re)Insurer who are looking to implement a new Investments & Treasury Operational Model. The successful individual will work closely with the Head of Investments to achieve this.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for two areas:

  • Managing the negotiation and implementation of financing solutions to meet the needs of the business
  • Leading the operational transformation to implement a revised Investments and Treasury operating model

Key responsibilites include:

  • Recommend and deliver financing solutions - becoming the SME for financing matters
  • Manage the relationship with external parties - i.e. Banks & Third-Party providersto develop strong relationships based on the understanding of requirements and priorities
  • Develop strong internal relationships with Key Stakeholders
  • Negotiate terms & conditions with Banks & Legal teams
  • Timetabling the terms of existing facilities for planning purposes to negotiate, cancel, amend, extend or renew
  • Provide detailed MI to Leadershipin relation to financing and the performance of funding providers
  • Design the end state operating model for bringing Investments and Treasury functions in house.
  • Act as a Project Manager to effectively build the plans and manage the project delivery of the transition to the end state operating model for investments and treasury
  • Work with the Investment, Finance and Risk teams to draft, agree and monitor delivery versus detailed project plans, including processes, technology solutions, MI and data
  • Deliver and present the required papers to the Investment Committee, in line with its terms of reference.
Experience Required
  • Significant level of experience in a similar including experience in relevant roles, such as treasury transformation, cash management, investment management or a finance role within insurers or banking
  • Relevant professional qualification within investments or accounting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and manage complex projects within tight deadlines
