Inventory Controller – Premium Consumer Goods, Stratford-upon-Avon Full-Time + Pension

With operations spanning the UK, Hong Kong, and New York, this is a fantastic opportunity for a methodical and proactive Inventory Controller to take ownership of international stock coordination and logistics.

Overview

What will I be doing in this Inventory Controller Role?

  • Forecast demand and raise purchase orders with overseas suppliers
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across UK, Hong Kong, and New York warehouses
  • Coordinate goods-in, stock counts, and resolve variances
  • Prepare and manage international shipping documentation (COO, C88, Telex Release, etc.)
  • Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth import/export flow
  • Maintain clean product data and pricing in Sage 200 and B2B platform
  • Communicate with factories on production slots and QC schedules
  • Support customer and distributor shipments, including direct factory dispatches
  • Upload shipping documents to customer portals and manage order tracking
  • Produce weekly reports on aged stock, backorders, and inventory health
  • Coordinate dispatches to European suppliers for product coating and manage returns
  • Recommend actions to reduce obsolete stock and improve inventory turnover
  • Ensure audit readiness and documentation traceability
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in inventory control or logistics within a product or wholesale environment
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures and customs documentation
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Sage 200 preferred) and Excel
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and calm under pressure
  • Excellent written English and confident communicator with suppliers, forwarders, and internal teams
  • Familiarity with Brexit-related customs processes and HMRC audit readiness is a plus
  • A growth mindset and collaborative spirit
