Inventory Controller

Are you an experienced warehouse operative with strong attention to detail and inventory control skills?

Do you enjoy a mix of desk-based and hands-on work in a fast-paced environment?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic distribution operation, where you'll split your time between warehouse and desk-based activities. Working across both ambient and chilled chambers, you will play a vital role in ensuring accuracy of returned goods, driver paperwork, and warehouse inventory integrity.

Working alongside the existing Transport & Warehousing teams, this role will involve using various Computer Systems, including the WMS to ensure stock is tagged correctly before being put back into the Warehouse. Therefore, attention to detail is critical in this role.

The Role:

  • Ensure all documentation is signed and returned
  • Manage and process returned stock with correct tagging
  • Check product lists in line with HACCP standards
  • Maintain strong product and inventory knowledge
  • Perform daily stock counts across all warehouse zones
  • Shift pattern: any 5 out of 7 days 7:30am -3:30pm and 8:00am -4:40pm

The Person:

  • Experienced in Inventory/Stock Control
  • Comfortable with Excel, Email and Word, WMS system experience would be a bonus
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is key
  • Effective communication skills to explain and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadline
  • Previous Stock/inventory experience in a fast-pace warehouse environment
  • Experience operating an electric pallet truck or forklift would be an advantage
