Interim Project Manager (Contract)

Remote with occasional UK travel

6-Month Contract

A great interim opportunity for a hands‑on Interim Project Manager experienced in process improvement, system implementation and operational transformation.

This is a key contract role, offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to deliver tangible business improvements within a fast‑moving organisation.

The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to UK sites to support stakeholder engagement and project delivery.

The Role

You will lead end‑to‑end process improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and the successful implementation of new IT systems. Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams, you will redesign workflows, improve data visibility, and embed best‑practice processes across the business.

Key responsibilities include
  • Reviewing and improving existing business processes, particularly across the order‑to‑cash lifecycle
  • Supporting and leading IT system implementations, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives
  • Conducting process mapping, gap analysis, and root‑cause investigations
  • Producing clear documentation, including SOPs, process flows, and training materials
  • Facilitating workshops, training sessions, and change initiatives to drive adoption
  • Monitoring performance post‑implementation and driving continuous improvement
  • Applying structured methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile
About You

You will be an experienced process or transformation professional with :

  • A strong background in process improvement, business analysis, or operational transformation
  • Proven experience supporting IT system implementations, ideally in workforce or end‑to‑end operational systems
  • Experience within engineering, construction or telecoms environments would be highly desirable
  • Confidence using process mapping and project management tools
