Baxendale is an employee-owned, B Corp management consultancy with a clear mission: to develop solutions that transform health and wellbeing outcomes.

We bring specialist knowledge with connected solutions, navigating complex change in out-of-hospital care. Community, primary care and mental health providers face transformation challenges that are highly complex and multi-faceted. Baxendale responds by integrating deep specialist expertise across strategy, estates, bids, partnership and governance structures, investment approaches, programme management, and quality improvement—delivering connected solutions that work as one.

As an employee-owned B Corp, we’re genuinely invested in our clients’ success — embedded partners who deliver in partnership. Our focus on quality and impact has led to the Financial Times selecting us as one of the best consultancies for Healthcare & Life Sciences, People and Performance, and Public and Social Sector — a significant achievement for an organisation of our size.

Scope of Services: This role will cover all Baxendale advisory services, plus BAXCQC — a service operated by Baxendale offering a range of solutions to help health, care, and wellbeing providers become and remain Care Quality Commission (CQC) compliant.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced Interim Marketing Manager to strengthen our brand presence and ensure our content reaches the right audience during a period of strategic growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional with consultancy or health and care sector experience to make an immediate impact.

As our Interim Marketing Manager, you will be an experienced generalist able to oversee the full suite of marketing activities across both Baxendale advisory services and BAXCQC. You will be a self-starter able to organise your work, seek input from the wider team, and deliver outcomes that contribute towards achieving Baxendale’s strategic goals.

Key duties and responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Marketing
  • Develop and execute a structured content strategy and distribution plan across all channels
  • Transform existing content (articles, reports, case studies) into multiple formats for maximum reach
  • Manage and execute content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, and website blog
  • Ensure regular fresh content on website and social media channels
  • Repurpose long‑form content into engaging bite‑sized pieces for different platforms (LinkedIn posts, infographics, short‑form videos, threads)
  • Ensure consistent publishing, engagement, and performance tracking across digital platforms
Campaign Management
  • Design and run targeted LinkedIn, Email and Instagram marketing campaigns end‑to‑end, including prospecting targets and where relevant, development of sponsorship opportunities
  • Actively design and pursue strategic marketing partnerships and opportunities
Digital Presence & Website Development
  • Lead the development of a new website, working closely with an external agency
  • Ongoing website management and development including SEO optimisation across all websites
  • Ensure the website is easy to navigate and regularly updated with relevant content
  • Management of Google Ad campaigns
Marketing Operations
  • Support the marketing of new products/services
  • Production of regular marketing KPI reports
  • Ensure the team is up to date on marketing activity so everyone can maximise their contribution towards promotion of Baxendale brand and sales efforts
  • Manage external contractors or agencies as needed to deliver high‑value output
Person specification:
Essential Experience & Skills:
  • 3‑5 years’ experience in a marketing role within professional services, consultancy, health & care, or public sector organisations
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively suggesting content ideas
  • Strong background in B2B content marketing, particularly on LinkedIn
  • Proven track record designing and executing targeted digital marketing campaigns (LinkedIn, Email, Instagram)
  • Experience managing outward‑facing communications across online, social media, live/online events, and thought leadership programmes
  • Experience with website development projects and ongoing management/SEO
  • Ability to transform long‑form content into engaging content for different platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills and experience leading meetings with senior stakeholders
Highly Desirable:
  • Experience marketing for consultancies or health and care organisations
  • Knowledge of the UK health and wellbeing sector and its main challenges
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance (CQC) within health and care
  • Experience managing agencies or external contractors
  • Understanding of HubSpot tools
Why join Baxendale?
  • Work with a certified B Corp ranked in the top 10% globally for how we treat our workers
  • Be part of an employee‑owned business with a collaborative, transparent culture
  • Make a meaningful impact in the health and wellbeing sector
  • Opportunity to shape marketing strategy during a period of growth
  • Work with a team recognised by the Financial Times as one of the best consultancies in Healthcare & Life Sciences, People and Performance, and Public and Social Sector
