Job summary

A leading finance recruitment agency is seeking an Interim Management Accountant for a 6-month contract in London. This hybrid role offers a competitive daily rate of £400-£450 and involves supporting month-end and year-end processes, preparing reconciliations, and collaborating with finance teams. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with strong Excel skills and experience in financial reporting. Immediate availability is preferred.

Interim Management Accountant (6 months)

London (Hybrid) – 3 days office | 2 days home

£400-£450/day (Umbrella)

A well-established organisation with a global footprint is seeking an interim Management Accountant to join its central finance function. This role offer exposure to a diverse property and investment portfolio across the UK and is ideal for qualified professionals looking to contribute to a high-performing, collaborative finance team. This role will support the financial accounting manager and wider team of management accountants with reconciliations and provide year end support. Great opportunity with an excellent business!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities (prepayments, accruals, fixed asset register)
  • Preparing and delivering monthly bank reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving unreconciled items in collaboration with operational finance teams
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining financial controls
  • Assisting with VAT returns and liaising with joint venture partners
  • Preparing cash summaries for external auditors
  • Supporting the delivery of statutory accounts and audit processes
  • Contributing to ad hoc financial reporting and wider finance projects

Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experienced in financial reporting, reconciliations, and statutory accounts
  • Comfortable working independently and delivering to tight deadlines
  • Strong users of Excel and familiar with accounting systems (experience with Yardi, OneStream, or CaseWare is a plus)
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to work across teams
