Job Description
This is a key role within the Group Finance function, supporting senior leadership with consolidated financial reporting and external disclosures.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare Group statutory accounts under IFRS and support subsidiary accounts under FRS101; coordinate external audit processes and liaise with auditors; manage climate‑related disclosures and risk registers; prepare risk register reporting and market announcements.
- Projects & Controls: Lead external financial controls audits and internal audit reporting; drive improvements in internal control frameworks; develop fraud risk processes and support insurance and acquisition accounting.
- Management Reporting & Forecasting: Collate ESG and SECR data; support budgeting, re‑forecasting, and analyst consensus reporting; enhance reporting processes for Board‑level MI.
- Technical Centre of Excellence: Provide technical accounting support across divisions; draft accounting memos and maintain Group policies and procedures.
- Treasury & Tax: Oversee cash flow forecasting and covenant compliance; liaise with tax advisors and review tax computations and provisions.
The Successful Applicant
- A relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in financial reporting.
- IFRS knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proactive, analytical, and solutions‑focused mindset.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
