Description
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members as required.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function.
Profile
A successful Interim Financial Controller should have:
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Audit background is highly desirable!
- Extensive year end audit experience to be able to hit the ground running
- Demonstrated experience in financial management within the not-for-profit sector.
- Management responsibilities in the past
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- The ability to work effectively in a temporary and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
