This role involves supporting the month-end process, driving better reporting, and improving cost control during a busy period. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent Excel experience, and be available immediately. The position allows for hybrid working—3 days in the Coventry office and 2 days from home. Competitive daily rate of £250 via umbrella company for a duration of 3-6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end processes: accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Produce weekly and monthly reporting packs with clear commentary.
• Analyse trends across costs, revenue, and margins, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Support forecasting and budgeting cycles.
• Work with budget holders to explain variances and improve cost control.
• Assist with process improvements and data integrity.
