A leading global Management Consultancy is seeking an Interim HR Director for M&A. This hybrid role is based in London, offering up to £2100 per day for a 12-month assignment. You will oversee multiple HR M&A engagements, manage teams, and drive commercial outcomes while collaborating with senior stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have significant HR M&A experience within a consultancy and excellent communication skills.

Interim HR Director – M&A – Consultancy
  • Interim role, London-based with hybrid working
  • Paying up to £2100 per day (with some flexibility) depending on experience
  • Length of assignment: 12 months with the possibility of extension

Oakleaf Partnership is working with a leading global Management Consultancy which offers a strong culture and diversity with lots of opportubity to grow. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing HR M&A consulting group as a Director. You’ll lead complex projects across the full deal lifecycle, from diligence to exit (and everything inbetween), and shape the future of HR in transactions for some of the most impactful deals in the market!

The Opportunity

As a Director, you’ll oversee multiple engagements across carve-outs, integrations, legal entity rationalisation, organisation design, restructuring, and exit readiness. You’ll manage teams of consultants, act as the senior client lead, and drive commercial outcomes, working directly with Partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client relationships, scope projects, and manage economics.
  • Oversee delivery of multiple concurrent HR M&A engagements.
  • Manage and coach a team
  • Bring hands-on HR transactional expertise to solve complex client challenges.
  • Contribute to business growth and market positioning.
Candidate Profile
  • Significant HR M&A and transformation experience which must have been gained within a global Management Consultancy (non negotiable)
  • Strong HR expertise across M&A, including: org design, integrations, separations, restructuring, comms, exit readiness etc
  • Resilient, commercial, and credible with senior stakeholders.
  • High EQ and exceptional communication skills.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Knowledge of workers’ councils / unionised environments is essential
