This position offers £26.15 per hour PAYE or £34.98 per hour UMB, with a commitment of 36 hours per week.

The Opportunity

A major organisation is undertaking a significant transition project and is seeking an experienced Communications Lead to support the mobilisation and roll‑out of all communication activity relating to the creation of a new business entity.

This role requires someone who can step into a complex programme at pace, build structure quickly, and drive both strategic and hands‑on communications delivery. You'll work closely with the internal project team, senior leaders, and wider comms colleagues to ensure clarity, alignment and consistency during the transition.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Establish the communications structure, tools, and outputs for the new organisation.
  • Develop both interim and long‑term internal communication channels to support colleague onboarding.
  • Shape and deliver key messaging throughout the transition, ensuring consistency across all audiences.
  • Liaise with wider communications and public affairs teams to ensure aligned external messaging.
  • Support community engagement and respond to local stakeholder needs within the Belfast region.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience across internal, external and community communications.
  • Strong background in change and transformation communications, ideally within an M&A environment.
  • Ability to quickly embed into a programme and operate independently.
  • Strong understanding of organisational structures and UK business environments.
  • Confidence defining and executing a communications plan from scratch.
  • Excellent writing, messaging and content creation abilities.
  • Stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple functions.
  • Understanding of UK media engagement, particularly within regional settings.
  • Experience designing and managing internal comms channels and events.
Additional Information

Experience is prioritised over formal qualifications.

Industry background is flexible.

Full BPSS+ clearance will be required before starting.
