The ideal candidate will support the CEO in fundraising and provide strategic financial insights. Essential qualifications include being fully qualified in ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAS, or ICAEW, along with experience in a fast-paced growth environment. The position offers a hybrid working model with a day rate of £900-£1200.

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering once again with one of the UK's most successful Creative Agency groups with their search for an Interim CFO on a 6 month contract.

Our client are a global brand agency that helps organisations define their strategy and create impactful brand identities. They craft visual, verbal, motion, sonic, and digital brand systems, and design end-to-end experiences across digital products, campaigns, and environments. Their work is insight-driven and highly collaborative, partnering with clients to build brands that connect deeply with audiences.

Turning over circa £30 million, they are a non-corporate, exceptionally friendly, and ambitious team looking to strengthen their finance function with a strong technical finance professional to lead them through their first funding round.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Founder / CEO, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business through a fundraise, while providing strategic insight and analysis to aid with further commercial growth. There is a finance director and financial controller in the team, allowing for complete strategic and commercial support.

The business is undergoing a period of change currently so this role will suit candidates that can operate in fast paced environments, comfortable having a high degree of autonomy and influence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the finance function.
• Support the talented CEO with future fundraise.
• Partner with the CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to deliver insightful financial and commercial updates.
• Setting up robust forecasting and planning models to support business strategy and fundraising.
• Challenge and update the existing financial model.
• Ensure successful delivery of the year end audit.
• Manage & upskill Financial Controller and Management Accountant.
• Oversee reporting to debt provider and external investors.

What We're Looking For (Essential Skills)

• Fully qualified (ACCA / ACA / CIMA / ICAS / ICAEW)
• Demonstrable scale up growth experience

Bonus Skills

• Creative Agency or Media experience
• Experience with Paprika accounting software

Day Rate

• £900-£1200 a day
