Robertson Bell are delighted to be partnering with a housing provider based in East London to recruit an interim Management Accountant on an initial six-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, collaborative finance team within an organisation that delivers affordable housing and drives positive change in local communities.

The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting month-end close, preparing and posting income journals across multiple entities.
  • Undertaking repairs and maintenance reporting, supplier analysis, accruals and prepayments.
  • Run and reconcile income reports and assist with trial balance reviews.
  • Use Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs) to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects, such as cost analysis and process improvements.

The Succesful Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience in management accounting or financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
  • Good understanding of accruals, prepayments and trial balance.
  • Experience in the housing, local government or not-for-profit sectors (desirable).

This is a hybrid position, with 2-4 days per month required in the office.
