The primary purpose of this position as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), is to serve as an Intelligence Officer and Deputy Chief of the ISR Operations Section, managing and supervising daily intelligence activities including signals, imagery and electronic intelligence. Supervisory duties involve less than 25% of the position's worktime.

Duties

Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.

  • Duty 1 - Directs, manages, and oversees intelligence activities required to support unit operations.
  • Duty 2 - Serves as 701st Combat Operations Squadron focal point for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems as well as actively participating in the analysis, testing and implementation of new or modified intelligence data system components and/or software to meet customer needs.
  • Duty 3 - Researches, reviews, interprets, evaluates, and integrates all-source data to produce/present all-source intelligence reports and assessments.
  • Duty 4 - Serves as focal point for the Unit Type Code (UTC) management and manpower/personnel/training requests and documentation for squadron personnel assigned to the intelligence career field.
  • Duty 5 - Attends and participates in conferences, meetings, and workshops as required, providing information or briefings on designated intelligence issues or topics. Performs supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 1-2 subordinate personnel.
Requirements

  • The incumbent must be eligible for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access.
  • PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations.
  • Total salary varies depending on location of position
  • This position is subject to provision of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Must sign a mobility agreement
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required
  • Employee must maintain current certifications

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period

  • Leave accrual may be authorized upon request
  • Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit.
  • May be required to fly in military or commercial aircraft and perform off-station temporary duty (TDY) and travel.
  • The incumbent may have to work uncommon tour of duty on short notice.
  • Incumbent must meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Work scheduled will be aligned to permit full participation in unit training assemblies.
