Main Purpose of the Role

This is a senior technical position responsible for leading integrity management and inspection activities for our clients’ pipelines, pressure systems, and associated infrastructure.

You'll develop and implement integrity strategies, conduct detailed assessments, provide technical leadership, and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Reporting directly to the Asset Integrity Manager, this role plays a critical part in maintaining the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of client assets.

Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Integrity Management Plans (IMPs) for pipelines, pressure systems, and static/dynamic assets.
  • Conduct fitness‑for‑service (FFS) assessments, remaining life analyses, and risk‑based inspection (RBI) planning and execution.
  • Review and interpret inspection and survey data (ILI, CP, coating surveys, etc.), identify degradation mechanisms (e.g., corrosion, fatigue), and recommend mitigations.
  • Prepare, review, and deliver technical reports, integrity status updates, and client deliverables with clear recommendations.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company QHSE policies, statutory regulations, and industry standards (API, ASME, DNV, ISO, etc.).
  • Provide technical input into proposals, project budgets, and estimates, supporting efficient project delivery and cost control.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior integrity engineers and inspection teams.
  • Support continuous improvement, adoption of new technologies, and knowledge sharing across the Asset Integrity discipline.
  • Participate in technical communities and promote professional standards and innovation across the service line.
Capability Development
  • Contribute to the development of in‑house methodologies, tools, and integrity software in collaboration with the Centre of Engineering Excellence (CEE).
  • Help identify and close skills gaps within the team through mentoring and competency assessments.
  • Support training, recruitment, and third‑party competency evaluations for project and product development activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in asset integrity management, inspection, corrosion control, risk‑based maintenance, or fitness‑for‑service – ideally involving pipelines, pressure systems, or static assets.
  • Proven technical depth and breadth within integrity engineering, with strong understanding of international and national standards.
  • Experience working in a consultancy environment, managing client relationships, and delivering projects within budget and schedule.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – capable of presenting complex findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and integrity‑related software tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe for client or site support.
Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Materials, or related engineering discipline.

  • Chartered or professional membership of IGEM, IMechE, or a similar body (preferred).
  • Recognised technical expertise or industry engagement (e.g., technical committees, conferences, publications) is desirable.
