A local council in Wolverhampton is seeking an Insurance and Claims Officer to manage and resolve insurance claims. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of insurance principles. The candidate should be proactive and empathetic yet assertive in ensuring fair outcomes. This full-time position offers a salary range of £30,024 - £33,699 and involves flexible working arrangements between home and office.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Insurance and Claims Officer, playing a key role in managing and resolving insurance claims for the City Council. You will handle claims received from third parties, legal entities and colleagues within other Services. Using your skills and sound judgment to investigate, assess, and consider liability in a fair and timely manner.
The role requires:
You will work closely with internal departments and external partners, contributing to risk management and supporting the Council’s commitment to delivering high-quality services. Experience in claims handling or insurance within a public sector or similar environment is desirable.

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance.
