Insulin Pump / Hybrid Closed Loop Coordinator

We are seeking an organised and proactive individual to join our team as an Insulin Pump Administrator at Royal Cornwall Hospital. This role involves supporting the diabetes service by managing insulin pump orders, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with clinicians and patients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. Previous experience in administration and familiarity with medical terminology would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have:

  • Knowledge of service improvement/ planning
  • Extensive NHS experience at a senior level
  • Experience of capacity and demand planning and monitoring activity
  • Proven knowledge of the national screening Quality Assurance specifications
  • Strong and effective leadership acting as an exemplary role model for the team
  • Ability to interpret and implement national and local policies and procedures and write, implement and evaluate departmental protocols to reflect changing service needs
  • Robust knowledge of all aspects of waiting list management, including RTT and national cancer targets
  • Ability to manage, organise and prioritise a broad range of complex activities and make adjustments to the screening programme to ensure key performance targets are met
