We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Instrumental Music Tutor with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to deliver engaging music lessons in specialist settings and schools. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality music lessons and instrumental tuition tailored to the needs of SEND learners.
• Plan and adapt lessons to ensure accessibility and engagement for all pupils.
• Work collaboratively with school staff and support teams to create positive learning environments.
• Inspire and motivate students to develop their musical skills and confidence.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience teaching music to children and young people with SEND.
• Strong instrumental and classroom management skills (any instrument considered).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
• A large proportion of the teaching will take place in the districts of Boston and South Holland.

The ability to travel is essential for the role of a peripatetic music tutor.

Desirable

• Experience in group and one-to-one teaching.
• Knowledge of inclusive music-making approaches.
• Ability to offer other instruments could increase the hours available.
