A leading highway management authority in the United Kingdom is seeking an Inspector to conduct and manage inspections of highway structures, ensuring safety and compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in Civil Engineering and experience in inspection techniques. This role offers flexibility in location across various regional offices.
National Highways is seeking a dedicated Inspector to support our Midlands Region operations. This role offers flexibility in location and can be based at any of our regional offices, including Snowhill in Birmingham or Stirling House in Nottingham.
The main responsibilities of this role include planning and conducting inspections of all types of highway structure assets in accordance with agreed schedules, procedures, and standards. The Inspector will be expected to identify and report defects by raising appropriate work orders, and play a key role in prioritising and developing maintenance schemes to ensure the continued safety and integrity of the infrastructure.

All to make sure National Highways customers have safer, smoother, and more reliable journeys.
External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
