Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative acts as a dedicated consultant for prospective customers, guiding them through the transition to automated insulin delivery. This includes managing lead inquiries, educating interested individuals on the system’s benefits, and supporting those leads as they prepare to be trained on Omnipod. By maintaining a high-touch relationship with potential users, the representative ensures that every customer is fully prepared for their clinical training and long-term success with our product. This position requires a high degree of consumer interaction and communication to ensure the customer experience is positive, professional and optimally reflects Insulet’s goal to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve agreed business goals on a quarterly, semester & annual basis.
  • Contact prospective leads by phone and email who have expressed an interest in the Omnipod System.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by demonstrating a thorough understanding of how Insulet’s products are used, including the benefits, answer customer inquiries about the Omnipod product and competitive comparisons.
  • Support customers as they transition onto the Omnipod System, ensuring a smooth transition from their present treatment to Omnipod.
  • Interact with new customers on Omnipod product to ensure satisfaction and understanding of our product and after-sales customer care.
  • Support existing Omnipod customers who may have taken a break from using our products or be coming up to the end of funding to ensure retention on Omnipod products.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide customer insights and help support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Perform a broad range of complex and challenging sales and service-related duties and administrative tasks.
  • Utilize internal CRM systems to accurately record all customer interactions and organize daily activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated previous Inside Sales experience - ideally in medical devices, healthcare or similar competitive, fast paced markets.
  • Fluent in English (mandatory).

  • Strong selling skills & objection handling – ability to genuinely relate to customers, understand their requirements, needs, concerns and address those appropriately leading to positive business outcomes.

  • Knowledge of Diabetes and Insulin Pumps is desirable (full training will be provided).

Physical Requirements (if applicable)
  • The ability to work overtime to meet business objectives is required.
  • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
  • Manual dexterity is needed for using a computer keyboard.
  • Lightweight lifting may be required.
  • Minimal business travel as needed.
  • Attendance at business meetings – overnight on a quarterly basis.
