Overview

Salary: Up to 35,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits
Location: Aldermaston / Hybrid (working 9 day fortnight)

What you will be doing

Leading Operational Excellence and Environmental Compliance Initiatives by managing client relationships, driving innovation, conducting safety audits, and optimising waste management processes. Responsibilities include facilitating innovation meetings, proposing solutions to clients, ensuring compliance with Veolia Waste and Operational standards through site audits and safety observations, evaluating disposal routes for environmental efficiency, and maintaining quality control through risk assessments and method statements. This role balances operational effectiveness with sustainability goals while meeting client requirements and reducing carbon footprint through strategic waste hierarchy implementation.

  • Participate in customer cross‑functional meetings with other suppliers
  • Use IT systems (Veolia and Customer) to generate transport documents, reference safety data, and generate quotes when needed
  • Bring new innovative ideas to the customer and ensure their efficient implementation within budget
  • Attend client and non-client facing meetings on site and online
  • Maintain company property to a good standard
  • Ensure waste disposal routes meet client needs
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the manager
  • Complete audits of processes and services to ensure compliance; perform root cause analysis on failures
  • Help Veolia and the client reach net zero targets
  • Maintain Veolia's Ecological Transformation plan on the client site
  • Complete weekly and monthly reports for the client network
  • Create, update and manage records per Veolia Minimum Requirements (VMR)
  • Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility projects
  • Stay up to date on waste legislation changes and industry standards
  • Offer and implement new innovation ideas for the client as efficiently as possible
  • Ensure Veolia offers the most ecological waste disposal solutions to the client
What we are looking for
  • Background in a waste environment
  • Experience in innovation/audit/environmental contexts
  • Experience in assurance-related tasks within a professional services firm, ideally at Manager grade
  • Strong client handling and high-quality assurance delivery experience
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Ability to provide practical, proactive business advice for clients
  • Advanced knowledge of waste treatment technologies
  • Experience with waste tracking systems
  • Current or ability to obtain minimum SC and DV security clearance
