Job summary

A technology recruitment agency seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to enhance its core technology platforms. This role involves managing both on-premise and cloud infrastructure primarily using Microsoft and Azure technologies, ensuring system availability and security, and contributing to IT service alignments and improvements.   • Manage, maintain, and optimise on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, security, and resilience of core IT systems.
  • Implement and maintain automation, monitoring, and configuration management capabilities.
  • Support the design and delivery of infrastructure changes, upgrades, and new capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across servers and networks.
  • Contribute to incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Work closely with security, architecture, and application teams.
  • Assist in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and service continuity activities.
Job description

An experienced Infrastructure Engineer is required to support, maintain, and enhance the organisation’s core technology platforms. The role focuses on delivering robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure services across a predominantly Microsoft and Azure-based environment. The successful candidate will contribute to service improvement, operational stability, and the ongoing alignment of IT services with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, maintain, and optimise on‑premise and cloud infrastructure built primarily on Microsoft technologies and Azure services.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, security, and resilience of core IT systems, networks, and services.
  • Implement and maintain automation, monitoring, and configuration management capabilities across the estate.
  • Support the design and delivery of infrastructure changes, upgrades, and new capabilities following ITIL change and release processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across server, storage, networking, and cloud platforms.
  • Contribute to incident, problem, and change management processes; produce and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
  • Work closely with security, architecture, and application teams to ensure end‑to‑end service quality and compliance with organisational standards.
  • Assist in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and service continuity activities.
