A UK communications regulator is seeking an Information Rights Advisor in London. The successful candidate will manage Freedom of Information requests and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. You will work closely with senior decision-makers and legal teams, maintain records, and support internal stakeholders with information rights queries. The Information Rights Team covering Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests Environmental Information Regulations and wider Governance & Accountability work as needed.
The Information Rights Advisor will be part of a small team fulfilling a range of Freedom of Information (FOI) Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) requests and Subject Access Requests spanning all of Ofcoms remit.
You’ll be working with a wide range of colleagues across the organisation and closely with our legal advisers. The team also deals with other work within the wide range of responsibilities in the Governance & Accountability Team including some data protection responsibilities. This role will include some compliance work including Corporation Secretary complaints and Data Protection breach work.
