The Role

We are looking for a skilled industrial sewing machinist to join our friendly team. You will work with a variety of materials including heavy‑duty vehicle carpets, rubber, and specialist fabrics sewing both standard and custom mats to precise, detailed patterns. The role also includes supporting general warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate flatbed industrial sewing machines to manufacture high‑quality products from a range of materials (carpet, rubber, and other robust textiles)
  • Follow detailed patterns and specifications for both standard and bespoke vehicle mats
  • Sew heavy‑duty vehicle carpets and rubber mats with accuracy and durability
  • Inspect finished items for quality and consistency
  • Assist with general warehouse duties, including packing, cutting, and preparing orders for dispatch
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Person Specification
  • Minimum 2 years experience using flatbed industrial sewing machines (experience with heavy‑duty materials preferred)
  • Confident working with a variety of materials and interpreting detailed patterns
  • Able to read, write, and speak English fluently (essential for instructions and health & safety)
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team
  • Willingness to support warehouse operations as required
