Job summary

A leading quality assurance provider is seeking an experienced Industrial Manufacturing Auditor for a 6-month contract in the Greater Manchester area. This role offers a hybrid working model requiring two days onsite and the opportunity to support a dynamic quality team in delivering production hardware while ensuring adherence to customer requirements. Proven experience in Quality Assurance and knowledge of QA problem-solving methods are essential. Competitive rate of £35.00 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering is desirable.
  • Experienced quality professionals with a track record in Product Assurance.
  • Ability to run reports in Excel and use document management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier non-conformances and lead defect investigations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of product non-conformances.

World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit 2x Industrial Manufacturing Auditor subcontractors on an initial 6 month contract. The role can be based from either the companies Stevenage or Bolton site, depending on your preference. The role will be predominantly working from home with just two days onsite. Trained auditor to AS9100 is essential.

Job Title: Industrial Manufacturing Auditor

  • Rate: £35.00 per hour
  • Location: Stevenage or Bolton site, depending on your preference
  • Hybrid / Remote working: 2 days per week onsite
  • Contract: 37 Hours per week
  • Overtime: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at 'time and a quarter'
  • Duration: 6 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)

Industrial Manufacturing Auditor Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Industrial Engineering Auditor professional to join the ISP Procurement team supporting a variety of Mechanical & Electro-Mechanical suppliers.

This opportunity provides the chance to work within a new dynamic quality team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide Quality Assurance support to the supply chain team to deliver production hardware, while ensuring adherence to our Customer requirements.   • Ensure effective management of supplier non-conformances across supporting manufacturing teams with defect investigations.
  • Lead root cause analysis of supplier product non-conformances using industry wide problem solving methods.
  • Ensure Supplier corrective actions are effective and validated, ideally at supplier location, to ensure future deliveries are protected from further escapes.
  • Provide non-conformance data analysis and summary reports into engineering/senior management and customer reviews.
  • Identify Quality issues/risks relating to potential risks for project milestone achievement, and for quality of deliverables, and offer potential mitigation solutions.
  • Participate in the Project Quality network to report and share the quality assurance status.
  • Support ME development projects ensuring compliance to Industrial Validation milestones.
  • Conduct Quality audits/assessments in line with the surveillance plan and against the Suppliers contracted Quality requirements, reviewing the Supplier's corrective action progress, conducting product acceptance, with the aim of reducing project risk.
  • Opportunity to identify process improvements to aid on time and on quality delivery of products during the product lifecycle.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Ideally minimum HNC/HND in Engineering would be desirable.
  • Experienced quality professionals, preferably within Mechanical or Electronic Engineering with a proven track record in Product Assurance.
  • Practitioner of current QA problem solving and improvement methods (8D, RCA, DMAIC, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of the product lifecycle - specifically in development.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to run reports in Excel, use SAP QM system, and document management tools.
  • Continuous improvement awareness and ability to use own initiative to deliver improvements.
