Job description
Candidate Profile

This role is best suited to a qualified solicitor or CILEx lawyer with 3-5 years' post-qualification experience in personal injury, ideally with a background in military claims or experience bringing claims against the Ministry of Defence. Applications from candidates outside this range will be considered if they demonstrate relevant experience and potential.

Applicants should have experience of high-value and complex litigation in the County Court, High Court and Tribunal Services and a working knowledge of the Service Complaints System. A strong interest in supporting service personnel and veterans is essential, along with the ability to handle politically sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of military personal injury matters under limited supervision
  • Handle cases from initial instruction through to conclusion
  • Prepare legal documentation and evidence
  • Liaise with clients, experts, counsel and third parties
  • Support other fee earners within the personal injury department as needed
  • Ensure billing and financial matters are handled accurately and efficiently

  • Demonstrated interest in military claims and representing armed forces personnel
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills, particularly with complex evidence
  • Excellent written and oral advocacy
