Hours of work: 33.75 hours per week.

Working pattern: Part‑time, Term‑time only (salary pro‑rata).

Fixed‑term: 12 months.

Location: Oakwood Primary Academy, Magnolia Drive, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN22 0SS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday during term time.
  • Support a small group of SEN children across reception classes.
  • Provide targeted support for one specific child while also working with other children when opportunities arise.
  • Promote independence, inclusion, and overall wellbeing for all pupils.
  • Build positive, caring relationships with each child and with the school team.
  • Contribute to a supportive, team‑driven environment and participate in staff training and development.

  • Experience supporting children with additional or special educational needs.
  • Calm, caring, resilient, and able to maintain composure in challenging situations.
  • Strong team‑player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and undertake targeted or enhanced provision where required.
  • Provocative ability to work under no direct supervision while maintaining high standards of care.
