Independent Garage Vehicle Technician

Location: Braintree

Salary: £35k - £45k DOE + Bonus

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 12:00 Saturday with a half day back every other week. There is an offered flexibility on this.

Our client is an independent garage based in Braintree, dedicated to providing high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.

They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about cars, has excellent technical skills, and is looking to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on all vehicle makes and models to a high standard.
  • Diagnosing electrical and electronic problems, and providing efficient solutions.
  • Ensuring high-quality standards are maintained in all aspects of work.
  • Assisting in customer interactions and ensuring the smooth completion of jobs within specified time scales.
  • Assisting with the movement and parking of cars around the garage.
  • Supporting the team in daily operations and contributing to the overall smooth running of the workshop.
Your Background & Skill
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical and electronic issues effectively.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and team members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to move and park cars safely.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
