A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate in Basingstoke to support individuals affected by domestic abuse. The ideal candidate will provide emotional support and advocacy to children and young people, work with families to strengthen relationships, and liaise with various agencies. This full-time permanent role requires a flexible approach, including on-call duties. Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience with vulnerable individuals are essential. Training and ongoing development will be provided.

Hours : 37 hours per week (Monday–Thursday 9 : 30am–5 : 30pm, Friday 9 : 30am–5pm)
Contract : Permanent, Full Time
On-call : Yes (rota-based)
Belmont Recruitment is working in partnership with a respected domestic abuse charity to recruit an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) to support children, young people and adults affected by domestic abuse, both in the community and within refuge settings.
This is a trauma-informed outreach role focused on safeguarding, emotional recovery and breaking cycles of abuse. You will work directly with children, young people and their non-abusive parents, providing practical support, advocacy and safety planning, while working closely with statutory and voluntary partners.
You will have experience supporting children, young people and adults who are vulnerable or at risk, ideally within domestic abuse, safeguarding or family support services. You will be confident working independently, managing a caseload and building trusting relationships with families and professionals.
This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
