Independent Reviewing Officer – Children and Families – Stoke on Trent – £33.30ph
An Independent Reviewing is required to join Stoke on Trent’s Children and Families service. This is a great opportunity to be part of a close-knit team.

As an Independent Reviewing Officer for the Children and Families Service you will be

  • Acting for the children they review as a conscientious and responsible corporate parent would act
  • Monitoring the performance of Son an ongoing basis in relation to their response to children in care and ensure any issues are escalated appropriately
  • Quality assuring every plan following each review meeting and consider that all appropriate options have been considered to meet the child’s identified needs
  • IROs must focus on children’s needs being met but cannot be unaware of resource/ cost implications
  • Responsible for convening, chairing and producing the decisions and minutes of the review meeting within prescribed timescales and that quality standards are met.

You are required to:

  • Hold a Social Work England registration
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
