Job description

St Martins has a full-time vacancy for an Independent Living Support Worker to work in the community in Norwich! We are looking someone who has experience of working with people who self-neglect and hoard or if you have an insight into these challenges and a passion to support people facing them.

The post holder will work in the community, usually in the home of the person receiving the support to promote independence and choice, so driving is essential. You will be supporting the person with the needs identified during their social care act assessment.

This is a permanent role - 38hrs per week - Monday to Friday.

We Are Looking For
  • Someone with the passion and drive to support anyone finding themselves in this situation.
  • Someone who can promote a positive, non-institutionalised stimulating environment to maximise opportunities for independence, improved wellbeing and achievement for the people we support.
  • Experience of supporting people who have poor mental health, addictions or who are ex-offenders.
  • Someone who can develop positive relationships with the people we support with the aim of encouraging change and engagement.
  • Someone who is able to drive, as we are supporting people in the community.

  • A comprehensive training programme, whilst gaining experience in the fields of criminal justice, social care, mental health, and housing law.
