Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer, Wigan

Pay rate to up to £40 per hour

Contract role

Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work as an Independent Reviewing Officer in a Fostering team in Wigan Council.

The Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer will ensure that the Local Authority fulfils its statutory responsibility to undertake a review of the approved foster carers.

Responsibilities

• You will have responsibility for the process of reviewing Wigan Children’s Services approved foster carers by organising, advising, and chairing the statutory reviews of foster carers
• You will provide advice to foster carers and practitioners and hold a scrutiny and challenge role for ensuring effective assessment, CPD/ training, support and supervision, statutory visiting and achieving positive outcomes for children in their care.
