Overview

Our client has been a trusted specialist in the international movement of dangerous and restricted goods for over 20 years, with an unwavering commitment to compliance, safety, and outstanding customer service. Renowned for their exceptionally high standards and tailored client care, they are now seeking a meticulous and highly organised Multimodal Import & Export Coordinator to join their expert team. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and compliant coordination of shipments involving dangerous and restricted goods, including Section 5 cargo (firearms, ammunition, explosives). You will play a key part in ensuring the safe and seamless movement of sensitive freight across international borders, in strict adherence to all relevant legislation and security protocols.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling incoming calls and customer enquiries
  • Preparing accurate job quotations
  • Processing operational Export and Import shipments
  • Liaising with carriers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Costing jobs and invoicing
  • Occasionally assisting with warehouse duties if required
  • Managing your own desk efficiently and maintaining accurate records
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Export, Import, Air, Road & Ocean and Customs operations is essential
  • Prior experience working with Dangerous Goods and/or Restricted/Defence Goods is preferred
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a team
  • IT literate
Remuneration
  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on age and experience)
